CEO Guy Stanway started his commercial career by building a large plant hire company, which he successfully sold to the multi-national company B.E.T. in 1988. Having come from a family with a strong successful musical background encouraged Guy into building a large recording studio complex which soon progressed into performance, fronting two reasonably successful 80’s bands from which he chose the natural progression into artist Management, finance and songwriting. Guy has managed artists that have toured extensively with such acts as: - Go West / UB40 / Culture Club / Thin Lizzy / Magnum / Black Sabbath / Robert Plant / Vicious Circle and the list grows.
Label manager David Clancey has been in the industry for over 20 years both commercially with Casio and Kawai and in a managerial capacity creating and charting many young acts. Having known and worked with David over a twenty year period made him ideal choice for ‘Label Manager’ assisting in running the day-to-day business of Zy Records. Since David’s appointment Zy Records have joined the BPI, have a direct deal with the worlds leading independent record distributor ‘Pinnacle’ and are active members of PPL.
Creative Director Lisa Stanway, the youngest member of the team at just 19, is rapidly carving herself a prominent career as a photographer and video Director. Having graduated from college just 14 months ago, Lisa has already photographed Robert Plant – Aura – Magnum – Jimmy Copley – Andy Scott-Lee – 10Shott – Big Wayne – Robert Plant’s ‘The new honey drippers’ and has just directed and filmed her third video due for release in mid July 2008.
She has sold pictures the National press including ‘The Sun’ & ‘The Mirror’.
Lisa also co-wrote the storyboards for 10Shott’s epic ‘Tin Soldiers’ and ‘Memory Blank’.
Production Team Gary Stevenson is a world-renowned record Producer whose career achievements are widely recognized.
David West, himself an award winning BMI songwriter David’s keyboard and programming talents are again widely recognized.
